Aerial Photo San Francisco Pier 39

On Saturday, June 17th northern California began a heat wave like none we have seen in many years.  Temperatures were over 100 degrees.  Typically, the heat in the central valley pulls the marine layer from over the Pacific Ocean into San Francisco bay.  But on this day, that never happened.  It was quite a surprise to fly over the bay and see absolutely no fog/marine layer out over the Pacific Ocean.  The air was clear and gorgeous in every direction!
