I've won two awards in 2010 for the above aerial panoramic image I created of the Sutter Buttes near Yuba City, CA. The area was covered in smoke from local fires we had in the
summer of 2009, making the photo almost unusable. I decided to try and salvage it by changing the white balance to "tungsten" in the RAW files while processing in photoshop. Doing
so created the bluish cast to the image. It took an image that probably would not have worked because of the smoke and made it a piece of art.
